Artist Statement
Mary Ann Kline has been a plein air painter in South Jersey for many years. She has studied extensively with well known artist Pat Witt, attended classes at Pennsylvania College of Art, Fleisher Art Memorial, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Stockton College, Rowan University and participated in numerous workshops through out the country.
Mary Ann's primary interest is oil landscapes with secondary studies in watercolor, acrylic, pastel, print and jewelry making, pottery, figure drawing and fiber arts. Her artistic endeavors also include construction of found object sculpture and installations.
She studied for a summer in the south of France and painted in Spain, Barcelona, and the Dominican Republic. She has exhibited at local venues individually and as a member of the Cedarwater Painters.
Mary Ann has won prizes in the Atlantic County Education Association Art Show, Cygnus Art Center, Ocean City Fine Arts League, Hammonton Art Center, Riverfront Renaissance, Avalon Performing Arts Council, and the Ocean City Boardwalk Show.
