I began my creative journey in textiles working with embroidery and quilting, which allowed me to explore the tactile nature of art. Today, I continue to embrace the process of building layers, both physically and conceptually, through mixed media.
I enjoy the evolution of an idea from its rough beginnings to its refined completion. My work often passes through multiple stages, where I carefully fluid and adjust the composition, taking time to observe and reflect on each moment. The act of looking at the work is as important to me as the process of creating it; it’s in these pauses that I find new directions and possibilities.
The final touch, for me, is always the line work. It’s my favorite part of the process because it echoes the repetitive stitches I once used in my textile work. Each line brings a sense of continuity and rhythm, connecting my past practice with my current work, while adding a final layer of structure and definition. This interplay of texture, line, and form defines my approach to art, allowing me to create pieces that feel both intimate and expansive.
