Raised in New York Debra had the advantage of being exposed to the arts at an early age.
During high school she participated in the arts programs offered at Pratt Institute and the Fashion Institute of Technology. She earned her BFA at the School of Visual Arts where she studied fine art and illustration. Presently she is expanding her talent further and continuing her training at the International Center of Photography.
Debra was encouraged to enter several contests and as a result her work had been chosen to be part of a select group exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art for her oil on canvas, at the Burlington House for her watercolor Paint a Brighter Future for NY, at The Gardeners Of America Photography Exhibit for her floral photography in which she received several awards and was chosen to be included in their 2009 Calendar, at the Ocean City Art Center 26th Annual Photography Exhibit, and at the Ocean City Fine Arts League where she received an honorable mention for her photography. In addition her work is on display at Ocean City Fine Arts League.
